RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE REVISED RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
RESOLUTION #02-31
WHEREAS, the existing rules and regulations which govern the operations of the Ingham County Fairgrounds were adopted in 1998 by Resolution No. 98-227; and
WHEREAS, such rules and regulations are in need of revisions to reflect current changes which are necessary to assure the most effective and efficient operation of the Fairgrounds, its facilities, and other resources; and
WHEREAS, the Fair Board has reviewed the existing rules and regulations and has identified an area that is in need of revision; and
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fair Board and Manager desires to change Article III, Section 3, # b, from "during the Annual Fair no dogs or pets shall be allowed outside of the owner's personal/business vehicle" to read "during the Annual Fair, no dogs or other pets shall be allowed on the Fairgrounds"; and
WHEREAS, these revisions have been reviewed by the County Attorney, and his review resulted in the final recommendations by the Fair Board that the revisions be adopted by the Board of Commissioners as the final authority for establishing rules and regulations in reference to the management of the interest concerns of the County per MCL 46.11(m) and its authority to make rules and regulations governing control and management of the fair per MCL 46.151 and MCL 46.153..
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby adopts the updated Rules and Regulations governing the operations of the Ingham County Fairgrounds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revised regulations as referenced herein shall have immediate effect with the passage of this resolution.
